Happy Feet is focused on developing your child's motor skills and creativity through fun and creative activities. In this class your child will be learning a combination of ballet and tap techniques. This class will help keep your child active, work on their flexibility, learn how to move to music, learn how to follow instructions, and help get all their extra wiggles out constructively. Throughout the Happy Feet session, there will be opportunities for parents/guardians to observe their child's progress on planned observation days.

This course is meant for potty trained 3 & 4 year olds who will be turning 4 & 5 during the school year. The students will discover and learn about the world around them by exploring concepts & themes through hands-on activities in an atmosphere that celebrates the joys of everyday life. This will be done with a Christian worldview focusing on social-emotional development, language, literacy, & communication skills, gross & fine motor development, & creative and musical skills. The curriculum will be emergent, which is one that builds upon the interests, experiences, and cultures of the children. It is often spontaneous and responsive to the immediate interests of the group of children. Students should 'dress for mess' as we will frequently use paint, glue, etc...

Preschoolers will have fun with music play and exploration. We will incorporate folk and traditional songs and rhymes, children's worship, and classical music with movement and dance to help children improve accurate rhythm, pitch, and musical expression.
Although not required, I welcome parents to stay and participate with their child. It is so rewarding to be able to share these special songs and activities with your child at home as well.

The goal of this class is to introduce young children to fun chemistry experiments. I also want to show them how rockets work and how humans are going into space. The Scientific Method will be introduced to the students.
What the students should expect: The students will have a short introduction to a chemistry experiment each week and then watch a short video about the experiment. After discussing the experiment and what they think will happen the class will participate in safe chemistry experiments.
Homework: Parents should review the videos with the students and talk about the experiments.
Grades: Attendance is very important for this class, so grades will be given for attendance. This class is categorized as an “educational class”, so I also give cumulative tests, midterms, and finals. I will be reading the questions out loud to this age group. The tests are made to be FUN with lots of praise and excitement for correct answers. Grades are not important for this age group; the priority is being able to learn to like or even to love test day and treat it like a game day.
Chemistry Experiments
• Make different kinds of slime
• Chemistry of ice cream
• Changing colors with acids and bases
• Chemistry of baking experiments
• Make safe Elephant Toothpaste
• Plus, more!!!
Rocket Science
• Make different types of rockets and rocket fuel
• Look at current real rockets going into space.
• Discuss the men and women going into space.

The goal of this class is to inspire students to be curious about how people lived and played in Bible times and beyond.
We will make ancient inventions like toys, games, and houses.
What students should expect: This class is a “hands-on” class. Each week different projects will be created using different natural materials and recycled materials. We will also have a short video and a class discussion about the project.
Homework and tests – This class does not have mandatory homework. Every week, I post the class agenda with hyperlinked videos we watched in class. I encourage all students to review the videos each week and talk about them with their parents and siblings. The more you talk the more you remember.
Required books – None. I use videos instead of books to help the students see the inventions and inventors. I print worksheets for the students when needed. The students are highly encouraged to rewatch the videos to increase long-term memory and understanding.
Grades – Participation and attendance is very important in this class and will be graded.
Some of the ancient inventions and inventors will be:
• Making toys using items from nature that children in Bible times may have played with.
• Making food from ancient recipes
• Creating games
• Making simple tools
• Making different types of shelters
• Studying Egyptian inventions
• Studying Roman inventions
